Monte-Carlo has always been the hardest event on the calendar for the least glamorous reason: nobody can tell you what the road is going to be. Dry tarmac in the valley, black ice in the shade three corners later, and a snowbank on the Turini waiting for whoever guessed wrong at the tyre van. It is settled by recce notes and nerve rather than outright pace.
That's the design: the blue-and-gold four-door mid-slide on a snow stage, gravel and ice thrown up behind it, sat under the event's own arched rally plate with the number and the January dates set the way the organisers printed them. The plate repeats small on the chest; the full illustration runs across the back.
For anyone who thinks a rally car parked outside a hotel in Monaco in the middle of winter is the correct use of both.
