In 1982 Porsche built a car to a new rulebook and more or less closed the argument. The 956 was the first Porsche with an aluminium monocoque and ground effects, and it turned the World Sportscar Championship into a procession — four straight Le Mans victories from 1982 to 1985. At the 1983 running, 956s filled the top eight places.
This is that car, drawn in the blue, white and gold livery it wore through the dominant years: number 2 on the nose, Dunlops underneath, full colour across the back. Small wordmark on the chest, the whole car behind you.
