The scheme was painted for a Brazilian teenager in karting and never changed — same yellow shell, same green and blue arcs, from São Paulo club meetings to three world championships. In an era when drivers repainted every season for a new sponsor, keeping one design for a whole career was its own statement. It is why you could pick him out through the spray at Donington or Suzuka with the car itself barely visible.
That's the design: the helmet in profile with the band across the brow, the signature beneath it, SENNA arched over the top between stars, and a short biography line set small under the visor. The name and signature repeat on the left chest; the full illustration runs across the back.
For the ones who still argue that the wet lap is the only honest measure of a driver.
