Formula 1 V10 engines (roughly 1989–2005) were 3.0-liter (initially 3.5L), naturally aspirated powerplants known for high-pitched, screaming sounds and massive power output. They offered the perfect compromise between the light weight of a V8 and the power of a V12, typically producing over 900 hp and revving over 19,000 RPM, defining a "golden age" of mechanical performance.
